![]() As mentioned earlier, Topaz’s Labs has succeeded in a near-seamless integration of layer-based editing. Thanks to its singular purpose and streamlined interface, Topaz Studio 2 is both simple and quick to use. Overall, Topaz Studio 2’s performance is much better than Paint Shop Pro, slower than ACDSee, and about the same as Luminar AI and Affinity Photo. However, I find this the case with almost all photo editors. In terms of loading presets and Looks, Topaz Studio 2 is quick but not instant. The healing brush is very effective but it takes several seconds to process each of your selections. However, Studio does not always react to your adjustments immediately and occasionally falls behind as you slide in an effect. Panning and zooming are immediate and responsive. Performanceįor the most part, Topaz Studio 2 runs pretty well. Ergonomically, the interface is clean and performance is reasonable. For example, you may reduce a layer’s opacity to 50%, making it transparent and diminishing its effect on the layers below it. Since your adjustments are contained to layers, your photo remains preserved in its original state no matter how much it appears to change.Īnd since each adjustment is contained to its own layer, you can adjust, disable, or delete an adjustment without affecting another.įurthermore, you can change the way each layer interacts with the other by altering its opacity. Whereas most photo editors write your adjustments directly to your image, adjustments in Topaz Studio 2 are committed to layers. Making adjustments in Topaz Studio 2 is a little different compared to most photo editors. Whether you’re looking for a discrete effect or a visual explosion, Topaz Labs is happy to oblige. With a single click, you can blur your images, add textures, turn details into brush strokes, and much more.įortunately, you can choose the strength in which a Look is applied. Whilst other photo editors will add a little contrast and a bit of saturation, the looks in Topaz Studio 2 can melt your eyeballs. The Looks in Topaz Studio are best described as dramatic. The plugins weren't built to accommodate that workflow, and that option used to be greyed out but it works for most people so it was enabled. Here, I’ve saved my adjustments to a new Look called imaginatively called ‘Richard’ "The original intent was not to use plugins within Studio 2 as a plugin. #TOPAZ SHARPEN AI REVIEW 2021 DOWNLOAD#I was told I now have to download AI Denoise & Sharpen separately as plugins to PS just as Topaz Studio 2 is a plugin.īottom line, you can't go from plugin to plugin. I'm thinking if you use Topaz Studio 2 as a standalone and send an image to AI Denoise or Sharpen to process and then return back to Topaz Studio 2 it wont be cropped It should be grayed out if coming from PS What I do find strange Topaz has Topaz Studio 2 as a plugin from PS in which you then can access AI Denoise or Sharpen. I could only test his theory using LR and went from there directly to AI Denoise let it process and return back to LR and it did not crop the image. Apparently Topaz Studio 2 is a Plugin which is a causing the automatic crop when it finishes the process in AI Denoise or Sharpen, and returns back into Studio 2 In my case my usual workflow would be to go from PS into Topaz Studio 2 and access AI Denoise or Sharpen. This is actually related to the metadata description above in how data is passed from the Photoshop plugin, but in this case, you're using a workflow that the plugins weren't actually developed for." However, we dont' actually support it and odd behavior can result in this workflow. The plugins weren't built to accommodate that workflow, and that option used to be greyed out but it works for most people so it was enabled. The original intent was not to use plugins within Studio 2 as a plugin. This is probably the same issue as you were seeing in old posts. "The cropping from PS to Studio 2 to DeNoise is a result of the pluginception. He said you cant come from a plugin into AI Denoise or Sharpen, you have come from a non plugin like LR or PS I'm not sure if he is just a moderator of the group or actually works for Topaz. Does the image stay cropped when you apply the noise reduction and return to Photoshop?Ĭhatted yesterday with the moderator for Topaz community on FB. I know the view is cropped when viewing inside the Topaz application, but when I return to PS the image is not cropped. ![]()
